The
Earth.
Our only habitable planet. Our solar system consists of multiple planets and
stars called the Sun. Also in space there are galaxies, nebulae, asteroids and
many more!!!
And the universe is
made up of all these things. But the most popular theory about its origin is
the Big Bang, which we all know more or less about. Now the question is how
correct this theory is. Yes, about the correctness of this theory or about the
real secret of the creation of the universe. Scientists have no end of research
and for this purpose they do various experiments and they have made various
types of devices to facilitate their research.
As a result, they
discovered such a mechanical system with the short name LHC. Scientists have
expressed the hope that it will be possible to know the real secret and process
of the creation of the earth and the latest times, if we know about the
universe.
What is LHC: LHC is an
acronym whose full expression is Large Hadron Collider. It is the largest
machine in the world with a weight of 38,000 tons and a length of 27 km. It is
a circular tunnel located 100 meters underground along the border between
Sweden and France. This project is managed by the European nuclear research institute
CERN (European Council for Nuclear Research) and scientists, engineers and many
international organizations are working on it.
Scientists believe that
the universe began with a big bang and has been continuously cooling and
releasing energy ever since. The LHC is designed to confirm their theory.
The LHC project
basically has three parts
Collider: It is a
tunnel through which two beams pass. (discussed later)
Detectors: Four
detectors will be attached to the four corners of the tunnel.
Read: This is a
worldwide computer network through which the data recorded by the detectors
will be processed.
Through the LHC
project, high-speed atomic particles will collide with each other and produce
very high energy. The higher the collision level, the higher the amount of
energy and the more it will be possible to know about the universe in the past.
Before the LHC project,
scientists have worked with some other similar projects, but the amount of
energy that will be produced this time will be 7 times more than other previous
projects.
Let's find out how the
LHC will work. As I said earlier, the LHC is a tunnel. Two beams composed of
countless atomic particles will be driven in opposite directions through this
27 km long tunnel at very high speeds.
This speed will
increase with time and whenever the speed is maximum, then the collision
between these two beams coming from the opposite direction means that the
particles located in these two beams will collide with each other. As a result
of this type of collision, the atomic particles break apart and many more new
particles are created. Four detectors will be placed at four points in the
tunnel.
These will focus on the
speed, nature, number and properties of the particles created after the
collision. One such detector is capable of focusing the collision of millions
of particles. And based on the huge amount of energy that will be created as a
result of this collision, scientists can study the universe. One can learn
about the basic structure and all the information about the universe at that
time. The higher the amount of energy, the more information about the creation
of the universe can be learned.
Note that scientists
will conduct an experiment in the LHC project in 2012. Before this experiment
was conducted once in 2008, but due to some problems inside the tunnel, the
experiment was postponed.
All the things that can
be learned through the LHC project
• 1) The real secret of
the creation of the world
• 2) What actually
happened during the big bang
• 3) Information on the
mass of atomic particles
• 4) The basic elements
that the earth is made of
This LHC project has
made people all over the world ask many questions. Some people think that the
amount of energy that will be generated by the collision of the two beams in
this project will create another universe in the middle of the earth and it
will gradually expand like this universe.
But scientists reject
this possibility, saying that through this project they will collect the energy
of the Big Bang for a very short time and the conditions at that time, but it
is not enough to create the moment of the Big Bang. So there is no possibility
of creation of the universe.
Since the LHC project
will be conducted underground, many suspect that CERN will be conducting some
secret experiments. In this regard, CERN believes that the surface rock acts as
a natural shield that keeps the detectors at a safe distance from various
natural radiations. Also, there will be no transfer of radiation caused by the
collision of nuclear particles. As a result, there will be no chance that the
data captured by the detector particles will be incorrect. Therefore, this
project will be operated underground.
Another question that
arises in everyone's mind is how high the power generated by this project will
be and how dangerous it will be if there is a malfunction. In this regard,
scientists say that the LHC will generate very high energy, but its amount is
very small. Every second, it creates a large number of high-energy particles
through the collision of two beams. However, the movement of all particles
stops after a certain time through the detector. Any error in conducting the
experiment. If so, it could damage the LHC machine itself. Because the
particles in the beam are so high-energy, they have the ability to deflect the
beam's kinetic energy and the LHC's magnetic system. However, there is no
possibility of damage outside the system, they said.
But the biggest
question that strikes fear in everyone's mind is whether the LHC project will
lead to the destruction of the world. I already said that millions of atomic
particles collide in the accelerator. As a result, black holes form inside the
accelerator. will have great power. And as a result, the heat of the Big Bang
is created. With this heat, scientists think we can get an idea of the
instantaneous state at the time of the big bang.
This heat would be more than four trillion
(400000000000000000000000000000 degrees Celsius) degrees Celsius, which has
never been produced before in our known universe. As a black hole would form
inside it, its gravitational pull would naturally be greater than expected. And
with it a lot of heat. Many people have expressed doubt that the accelerator
can be controlled through this tunnel, which is a threat to Earth. Perhaps the
black hole pulls the entire Earth into its center with its gravitational pull.
Although scientists associated with CERN sound reassuring about it. Doubts are
foremost in everyone's mind.
