Your curriculum vitae (CV) is the primary means of
presenting yourself as a job seeker to a potential employer. But in many cases,
job seekers do not attach importance to making their CV beautiful and correct.
As a result, many eligible candidates do not receive an interview invitation
and are denied the opportunity to demonstrate their eligibility.
Facts to Keep in Mind Before Creating a Resume ---
● The average employer spends no more than 30 seconds on a
resume, so it should be short Presentation of information should be clear Avoid
unnecessary or less important information
● Resume for inexperienced/fresher candidate should not be
more than one to two pages.
● Your CV is your way of marketing so it must be interesting
but don't use anything flashy like colored paper or colored ink to highlight
something, you can do it in bold, italics or underline
● Remember that potential employers will have a negative
impression of you if there are any spelling mistakes or language/grammar errors
in your resume. It reveals that you are unable to do any work accurately. After
creating your resume, read it yourself and show it to someone who knows pure
English
● When you send your resume to apply for a specific job
offer, try to edit your resume. To do this, you need to read the job
advertisement well and do some research about the organization. For example, if
you know that the recruitment firm can hire anywhere in Bangladesh, you can
mention in your CV that you have lived somewhere in Bangladesh before. Or if a
recruiting firm is looking for someone to play the role of
"organizer," in which case your resume will have a different value to
the recruiter if you mention the role of organizer in your student life.
It is very important that you include the correct
information in your CV. During the job interview, do not provide any
information that could prove to be false
Different parts of a resume (CV).
The information you should include in your curriculum vitae
(CV) is…
1. Title
2. Career Summary --> Experience is more required
3. Career destination (Career destination)-->Highly
required for newly hired job seekers.
4. Work experience
5. Educational qualification (education)
6. Additional information
7. Personal data
8. References
Name: (Title)
Your full name should be at the beginning of your resume. It
should be bold and in a slightly larger font (avoid nicknames). This will be
followed by your address (the current address where you will receive the
letter), telephone number and email address. This section will be centered at
the top of the page so it will be seen first
career summary
It is more suitable for people who have more than 4-5 years
of experience. In this section, list your previous work experience in a maximum
of 6-7 lines. Briefly highlight your previous achievements (if you have any).
Career goal
It is more suitable for newly hired job seekers or less
experienced (1/2 year) job seekers. In this section you mention your current
objective (Immediate Objective) in the field of employment and present your
qualifications in terms of how they can meet the needs of the advertised job or
the organization you are posting to. Briefly mention the positive qualities
suitable for the job It is important to write the Career Objective in accordance
with the requirements of the job advertisement or the company Focus on what you
can give to the company, not what the company expects
Experience: (work experience)
For experienced professionals, this section should come
before educational qualification In case of fresh pass or less experience,
educational qualification (education) should come first followed by experience
The information to be provided for each of your previous
experiences is:
* Name of the organization
* Designation
* Time period - From & To
* Job responsibility
* Special Achievement
If you have worked in different positions in the same
organization at different times, state this separately
The most important thing is that you mention your most
recent experience first, then one by one in chronological order of continuation
and ending with your most recent experience.
It is better not to mention your less important or
short-term experiences, but keep in mind that there should not be too much of a
time gap in your list of experiences.
Education and training
As mentioned earlier, this section should come before the
Experience section for beginners or less experienced In the Education section,
you will mention the names of your degrees and provide the following
information
* Name of degree (eg: SSC, HSC, BCom)
* Course duration (from when to when)
* Name of educational institution and board * Year of
examination and, if applicable, time of publication of results
* Result and if there is significant achievement (eg: merit
list place) should be mentioned
As with Experience, you list your most recent title first,
followed by others in order.
Note that if the final result for one of your titles is not
yet published, please include 'Appeared' in brackets when referring to that
title. If you are studying any course please mention 'In Progress' If your
result is very poor in any degree no need to mention any result Note that
mentioning the result of one degree and not another is blatant
State whether you have received any special training and
whether you consider it useful for your job qualifications. In such a case, the
name of the educational institution, topics, time (duration) and date of the
institution should be indicated
You can find a list of trainings in the Education section
additional information
In this section, describe any information that does not fall
into the above sections but is relevant to the job
* Professional Achievement / Professional Achievement
* Medal / Honor / Award.
* Language knowledge / Language literacy
* Computer Skills / Computer Skills.
* Licenses, government identification, published writings
and copyrights
* Volunteering etc
Personal information
Parents, current/permanent address, religion, countries you
have traveled to, hobbies, etc. can be listed here in this section.
Link
Note that you should not include the names of your close
relatives in the reference section As a reference, you will refer to a person
who has seen you closely during your student or professional life Of course,
include the phone number, address and email (if any) of those to whom you will
refer Usually it is better to list the names of 2-3 people at most as a
reference But the most important thing to take care of is that you must inform
all the people you have listed as a reference in advance that you have listed
them as a reference in your resume ( CV).
