The End of Service (EOS) date for Windows 10
21H1 is December 13 this year. This means that security updates will no longer
be provided for this version of Windows. If you are using one of these versions
of Windows, update Windows as soon as possible to protect your computer from
all kinds of cyber or malware attacks.
Microsoft said Windows 10 consumer devices and
unmanaged enterprise devices will have automatic feature updates to keep those
devices secure. This means that all critical updates related to security and
ecosystem health will reach the designated devices.
This EOS update will be effective for all
Windows 10 21H1 editions starting next month. These include Windows 10
Enterprise, version 21H1; Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session, version 21H1;
Windows 10 Education, version 21H1; Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, version 21H1;
Windows 10 Home, version 21H1; Windows 10 Pro, version 21H1; Windows 10 Pro
Education, version 21H1; And Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, version 21H1
these versions.
This means that if you're using a Windows PC
running the mentioned version, you'll need to update it very soon. Users
subject to this rule should download the latest Windows 10 update and upgrade
to Windows 11 before any problems occur. However, users of Windows 10, version
20H2 or later can check if the update has arrived in Settings > Update &
security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
Since Microsoft's main focus is Windows 11
right now, it doesn't make sense to expect any new features. All essential
guides related to upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 are linked below.
